Even before Adam was born, I was already browsing the many adorable birth announcements that Tiny Prints has, daydreaming of how my Adam would look like. Tiny Prints is an online store that has custom stationary for every occasion you can think of. I searched for baby boy birth announcements and favorited a lot of them so that i would be able to later show them to Shawn without going through all the pages again (love that feature by the way) You just click on the heart next to the card you like and it’ll remember them so that you can narrow down your selection; which was really difficult since just looking at all those newborn pictures just makes you melt!
Now that Adam is here, his personality already shows, (Yes, even at 8 weeks old!) He’s a very easy going baby but he loves his scheduled routine and doesn’t like it a bit when it’s broken. He also loves calmness; he gets over stimulated a lot.I wanted to match a card that didn’t just announce his birth and showed his cute picture but also showed his simple yet needy personality.
Shawn and I wanted something simple looking yet still unique like our little one so we picked the : Typewriter Stats card (you can view it here)
We didn’t have to have a professional photo shoot done; my sister came with her camera & took a few shots of Adam. I then, uploaded my favorite one to the Tiny Prints website & put in all the information (birth weight, name etc) and in less than 5 minutes it was done! Tiny Prints can mail your cards for you but I didn’t choose this option because I enjoy filling out or addressing cards ( I know i’m weird like that) I figured it would take a few days to get the cards but to my surprise they came two days later! I couldn’t believe it since i hadn’t paid for ultra fast shipping.
After opening one to see the birth announcements, I immediately was a bit disappointed The picture that i had uploaded had a little more shadow than I wanted therefore making it difficult to see Adam’s face very well. If this had been any other card, I wouldn’t have minded (he still looked adorable!) but this were his birth announcement cards. It’s something we’ll keep and remember forever and i wanted it to be as close to perfect as i could make it.
I called Tiny Prints customer service and was treated amazingly! They offered to have their designers fix it for me (lighten it) and if I wasn’t happy with it, I could upload another picture and they’d redo my order at…no charge! After their design team tried to fix my first photo (they just took a couple of hours to do) I decided to upload a different, lighter picture.
As any other mom, time for myself or to do anything else is very very scarce so I hadn’t gotten around to do my birth announcements until Adam was already a month old so I didn’t want to take any more time, I wanted my family to see his birth announcement already!, especially the ones that haven’t even seen a picture of him, my family is Peru so Tiny Prints helped me again by printing and mailing the second order as a rush delivery at no extra charge! The cards came the next day with a thank you card from them thanking me for my business & congratulating me for my son’s birth It was a small but great gesture on top of what they had already done for us. With this experience, I’ll definitely be a Tiny Prints customer for life! not only do they have quality made stationary but they also keep their customers happy.
Here’s the final birth announcement proof
I’ve mailed most of them now I just need a couple of hours to finish addressing all the envelopes!
P.S: . Tiny Prints is now having a sitewide sale: 25% off any order! Use code: NOV25SW (expires 11/13)
